Winter Tropical Magic

Special guided tour for groups of up to 15 people

When winter misses the green, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the tropical, lush world of plants in the evening. The guided tour gives you an insight into the world of tropical flowers, spices and fruits as well as the sleeping behaviour of plants. Experience the fragrances and tranquil atmosphere in our tropical houses after closing to the public. A tropical drink concludes the tour.

Duration: 75 minutes
Cost per group: Mon-Fri 420 CHF / Sat, Sun 470 CHF
Group size: max. 15 people
Time: Between 5 and 8 pm

Spice plants from all over the world with degustation

Special guided tour for groups of up to 15 people

A wide variety of native and tropical spice plants grow in our garden: Do you know which plant Szechuan pepper grows on? Or what you eat from Japanese ginger? We visit the plants, smell them, taste them and hear interesting facts about their history and use. Afterwards, a degustation awaits you in a beautifully situated villa. We will spoil you with spicy, sweet and exotic delicacies.

A foray into fragrant plants

Special guided tour for groups of up to 15 people

On a foray to roses and cistroses, real and false mints, frangipani and jasmine, or frankincense and myrrh and other plants, different scented and resinous plants are visited depending on the season and the essential oils, balsams and extracts obtained from them are presented. With a demonstration of steam distillation, the primary extraction process for essential oils is illustrated.
