The Gessner Garden

At the highest point of the park is the medieval herb garden in honour of the Zurich naturalist and city doctor Conrad Gessner (1516-1565). Over 50 old-known medicinal plants are presented and give an insight into the knowledge of medicinal plants in the 16th century.
